Centennial Activities

          There were a lot of activities during the centennial celebration of the Ateneo Fiesta 2012. Like the Jesuit Athletic Meet (JAM), of course the High school Night, and the Ateneo Fiesta itself. Firstly, I would like to note that I am part of the Ateneo de Zamboanga Univ. Concert Band. I played in the opening ceremony of the Jesuit Athletic Meet, so I know how it feels to be in the center of the festivities during the Ateneo Fiesta.The JAM in itself gave me a lot of insights on the lessons that we learned in sports.Some of these lessons include hard work, determination, strength and agility, perseverance, knowledge, claimed. But most important of all, the spirit of good will. In becoming a good sport, we learn to accept and learn from our mistakes.

          I did not attend the Highschool Night, but they said it was fun. I did however, attend the Centennial Alumni Homecoming during the Ateneo Fiesta. Our band played in the program and we had lots of fun. It was very obvious that this year's Ateneo Fiesta was the most well planned and the best of all the Ateneo Fiesta's. It's an honor to be a student of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University.
